Oui, Je suis Catherine Deneuve

She mokes tiny cigarettes and smiles. A sparkling green dress by Chanel. She is one of the last "dive" of cinema. At Lido to introduce "Au plus près du paradis" by Tonie Marshall, Catherine Deneuve was not looking for uproar but left her sign. The toatal protagonist in Venice Film Festival.
In "Au plus près di paradis" there is no shot without the queen of french cinema: "It was a challenge - she admits - It was hard, but the colleagues were great accepting short roles. I chose this film because I think it is a hommage to the romance in life".
What do yo uthink of nowadays cinema? "It is a form of art still young and in evolution.Even if i think that the technical progres improves the work of art but not emotionally. Now people get less touched. With time we may reach a balance".
What does the audience search for?
"There is nothing to do: they want to identify and be touched"
What about today's stars. without the Cary Grant e Vivien Leigh...
"Now ther a re actors with the same magia (in Italian). It's the movies which are different, greater. And actors have to be able to adapt, if they do not want to be craked by them".
